Design Engineer – Rooftop Solar

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Design Engineer (Rooftop Solar) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing rooftop solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering accurate design layouts for client projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design rooftop solar PV systems including module layout, string design, and electrical SLDs.
• Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Conduct site feasibility studies and shadow analysis.
• Coordinate with the procurement and installation teams for smooth execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, structural, and electrical regulations.
• Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in solar PV system design (rooftop preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of solar power system components and standards.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
